Global Toy Industry Platform Highlights New Opportunities, Trends and Features Ahead of 2027 Fair

New Delhi, September 30, 2026: Spielwarenmesse, the world’s leading international trade fair for toys, hobbies, and leisure products, hosted an exclusive preview event at the Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi, bringing together key stakeholders from India’s toy and games industry ahead of the 2027 edition in Nuremberg, Germany.

The event provided exhibitors with an early look at the opportunities, trends, and new features planned for Spielwarenmesse 2027. Through presentations, networking sessions, and exhibitor success stories, participants gained insights into how the international trade fair can support business expansion, global visibility, and new partnerships.

A key session was delivered by Atish Laddha, Partner, Rödl India, titled “Toy Story: The Export Edition.” The presentation covered export promotion schemes, duty benefits, subsidies and grants, and opportunities arising from Free Trade Agreements.

Spielwarenmesse also unveiled selected highlights for its 2027 edition. ToyTrends will provide an early perspective on emerging developments in the toy market, drawing on insights from the twelve-member TrendCommittee representing ten countries. The fair will also feature “Toys for Kidults,” a special display developed in collaboration with Ultra Comix and SPIEL Essen, showcasing products for adult toy enthusiasts across collectibles, tabletop games, and creative fantasy.

“The event comes at a significant time for India’s toy industry, aligning with the Government’s continued emphasis on promoting domestic toy manufacturing, strengthening the sector’s global presence and creating new opportunities for Indian toy manufacturers,” said Tanu Ailawadi, Managing Director at Spielwarenmesse India. “This preview event is our way of recognizing the region’s export potential and helping exhibitors prepare to make the most of their presence in Nuremberg.”
