IFFCO has launched a nationwide campaign called the Nano Fertilizer Maha Abhiyaan, spearheaded by Chairman Dileep Sanghani in New Delhi on 10 April.
This extensive initiative covers 560 districts and 3,477 tehsils across 19 states and union territories, utilizing various media channels including vans, print, TV, radio, outdoor, and digital platforms to reach farmers effectively. The campaign promotes officially recognized nano fertilizers such as Nano NPK Liquid (8-8-10) and Nano NPK Granular (20-10-10), with a new nano fertilizer plant in Brazil expected to be operational by June 2026.
Aligned with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Sahkar Se Samriddhi missions, the campaign aims to promote products like Nano Urea Plus, Nano DAP, Nano NPK, Nano Zinc, and Nano Copper, while training farmers in proper application techniques, primarily foliar spraying. It also focuses on reducing dependence on conventional fertilizers and ensuring last-mile delivery through cooperatives.
Sanghani highlighted that nano fertilizers are revolutionary, as a single 500 ml bottle of Nano Urea Plus can replace much larger quantities of traditional fertilizers, thereby reducing costs, enhancing productivity, and protecting soil and water resources. So far, over 218 lakh bottles of Nano Urea Plus and 64.26 lakh bottles of Nano DAP have been sold, resulting in savings of 9.37 lakh metric tons of urea and 2.89 lakh metric tons of DAP, which also cuts down on imports and logistics expenses. Additionally, Nano Zinc and Nano Copper have seen strong adoption among farmers.
IFFCO’s nano fertilizer range, including Nano Urea Plus, Nano DAP, Nano NPK, Nano Zinc, Nano Copper, and the DharAmrut bio-stimulant, represents India’s most advanced precision nutrition portfolio designed to lower input costs for farmers while promoting sustainable agriculture. In summary, nano fertilizers are not merely products but symbolize India’s path toward self-reliant, sustainable, and prosperous agriculture.
