Swadesh Darshan scheme will boost tourism in Uttar Pradesh

The launch of two projects worth Rs 29 crore to Sitapur and Prayagraj by the Prime Minister through video conferencing under Centre’s Swadesh Darshan 2.0 will boost tourism in Uttar Pradesh.
Rs 13.02 crore has been approved for projects including Prayagraj World Art, minibus, parking, and toilets under the first phase of integrated tourism development. Additionally, under the Vedic wellness experience scheme in Naimisharanya, about Rs 15.95 crore has been sanctioned for jetty and boats, sound and light shows, and other works on the Gomati River.
On the occasion, the PM has launched 53 projects in India under the Swadesh Darshan. He also dedicated to the nation and launched multiple projects related to the tourism sector worth more than Rs 1,400 crore under Swadesh Darshan and Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) scheme of the Ministry of Tourism for the development of tourist spots in India.
The UP Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh emphasised that including these destinations in the Swadesh Darshan scheme would boost tourism and economic growth for the state.
The Naimish Vedic Wellness Experience project, sanctioned under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 and the Prashad Scheme, encompasses the construction of a Vedic trail at Rajghat on the banks of the Gomati River. This trail will provide information about Vedas, Puranas, Chakratirtha, Maharishi Dadhichi, Maharishi Vedvyas, and Maharishi Sutji. Additionally, tourist facility centres will be established at five locations in Naimish, equipped with food outlets, toilets, and separate feeding rooms for children.
The state tourism minister mentioned that boating facilities will also be introduced on the Gomati River under the Swadesh Darshan Yojana 2.0 to enhance the tourist experience in Naimish.
