Agrifeeder, a Bihar-based agri startup, co-founded by actor and entrepreneur Neetu Chandra, along with Priya Pandey, Raman Kumar and Raunak Kumar, has secured USA FDA certification, enabling the export of high-quality agricultural produce sourced directly from farmers across Bihar.
At present, the company works with a network of over 50,000 farmers across Bihar, supporting them through direct market linkage, branding, packaging, and supply-chain coordination, with the objective of enabling farmers to earn up to 10x higher income by transitioning from commodity selling to value-led, export-ready markets. The platform focuses on indigenous and region-specific products, including lemongrass herbal tea (six flavours), chanasattu, chanasattu with moringa powder mix, chanasattu with wheatgrass powder mix, raw honey (six flavours), GI-tagged BhagalpuriJardalu mango, GI-tagged BhagalpuriKatarni rice and poha, jaggery maize, and other agricultural produce native to the state.
Commenting on the brand launch, Neetu Chandra, Co-founder, Agrifeeder, said,
“This is a long-term commitment to Bihar’s farmers. Putting my name on the packaging means standing behind the quality, the sourcing, and the livelihoods connected to every product. As we enter global markets, this brand represents trust, traceability, and the belief that produce from Bihar can compete internationally on merit.”
Speaking on the occasion, Priya Pandey, co-founder, Agrifeeder, said, “USA FDA certification is a defining moment for Agrifeeder and for the farmers we work with. It validates years of groundwork and enables us to take Bihar’s produce to global markets with confidence, quality assurance, and fair value at the core.”
As part of its Bihar-first operating model, the startup has relocated its core operations from Bengaluru to Dubuoli village in Pirpainti, near Bhagalpur, Bihar, embedding its teams within the local farming ecosystem. The company has also adopted the village as part of a long-term community engagement initiative focused on livelihoods, local employment, and agricultural growth.
Founded in 2017, Agrifeeder was created to address structural challenges faced by small and marginal farmers, including limited market access, price volatility, and dependence on intermediaries. With USA FDA certification and the launch of Agrifeeder by Neetu Chandra, the startup enters its next phase, focused on exports and international market expansion while remaining firmly rooted in Bihar.
